A landmark on the TT course could be demolished and turned into an upmarket campsite, if planners give the green light.
A planning application has been submitted to pull down the Glen Helen Inn.
In its place would be a single storey welcome centre with cafe facility and 12 glamping pods for tourists.
The facility closed in 2014 when its owners blamed rising energy costs for making the business too expensive to run.
