This morning, there will be an on-course test of the new electronic red flag system.
It's been confirmed TT organisers will carry out the tests between 6am-7am.
The electronic flags have been introduced as part of the new Safety Management System as an additional measure running alongside the existing marshal’s red flags.
It enables the Clerk of the Course to immediately raise awareness all racing should immediately halt, helping draw further attention to marshals, officials and riders around the course.
As a result, ahead of races beginning this Sunday (May 29) organisers need to test the system using the correct red display colour.
