Economy to benefit from securing cycling tour series

The Isle of Man has the potential to be one of the best cycling destinations in the British Isles.

That's according to SweetSpot - the company which is bringing the Pearl Izumi Tour Series here next May.

It's part of a three-year agreement with Isle of Man Cyclefest and marks the first time the Island has hosted a professional cycling race since 2003.

Alastair Grant is the commercial director of SweetSpot - he says the ITV4 television coverage of the event could give the Island a big economic boost:
