A Douglas man fell and injured himself twice because he'd been drinking too much.
David Anderson, of Head Road, appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 42-year-old admitted being drunk and incapable and assaulting a police officer on January 11 and being found drunk in a public place on October 20.
Both times he was taken to A&E after falling and injuring his head.
During January's incident he became aggressive at Noble's hospital and kicked a police officer in the shin.
The case was adjourned for a social enquiry report and Anderson will next appear on April 4.
He was bailed in the sum of £500 and is not to enter licensed premises or drink in public.
