Police are appealing for information after a driver who is alleged to have failed to stop for a marked police van then lost control of his car in Douglas.
Just before 10:00PM on Sunday night a 33 year old local man was driving towards Woodbourne Road when he lost control of his vehicle.
He smashed into the wall of a house, then car then overturned and carried on out of control down Alexander Drive before coming to rest on its roof at the junction of Primrose Avenue.
The male was taken to hospital.
The road was closed for several hours while police investigated.
Any witnesses are being urged to contact the police.
