Douglas City Council has a new member after only one person came forward to contest a by-election.
The local authority's South ward had one vacancy and nominations closed yesterday.
Livia Lenarduzzi was the sole nominee and was elected unopposed to serve until April 2029.
A business owner and company director, she also unsuccessfully contested September's general election.
