The Island's largest local authority has a new leader after a meeting yesterday.
Douglas City Council says Devon Watson, who represents the Douglas East ward, will serve for two years.
On social media he says he'll continue fighting as an activist for a firmer response to the housing and cost of living crises.
He added he would also work to combat what he describes as "environmental degradation".
