Manannan sailings to and from Liverpool are facing possible disruption today.
According to the Steam Packet Company, a 'rapid deterioration' in the weather forecast means the 3pm crossing and its return scheduled for 7.15pm are now subject to delays or cancellation.
Officials add a decision on both sailings will be made no later than 12.30pm today.
Ben-my-Chree services to and from Heysham are currently unaffected.
