Port St Mary RNLI launched both its lifeboats yesterday afternoon after two boats got into difficulty.
Crews were paged at 1.46pm on Sunday, October 11th, after a fishing vessel suffered mechanical problems and its anchor began dragging.
A speedboat that went to help also developed engine trouble, leaving both vessels needing assistance.
Both boats were towed safely to Castletown Harbour, where their occupants were checked over by the Isle of Man Coastguard.
