Summerhill Glen won't be getting a phone box to talk to loved ones who've passed away just yet - because of the cost.
Douglas Council's regeneration committee considered the idea of having a wind phone in Summerhill Glen.
Councillors were told the local authority already owned a vintage telephone box which could be used - but it would cost well over £5,500 to refurbish it.
Members voted to defer the issue while lower-cost options were found.
