There may be good news for residents of Douglas who want to make better use of their green fingers this week.
When the council sits on Wednesday, it'll consider a motion from Council Leader Devon Watson.
He wants to establish an allotment expansion scheme using public land to provide affordable growing plots, community gardens or nature habitats.
If councillors back his motion, it'll be deferred for consideration by the council's executive committee before January next year.
