Onchan commissioners say they won't cough up extra cash for the Eastern Civic Amenity Site.
At its last meeting, the board heard the site wanted an extra £300 a month to cover its running costs.
Members voted against giving the site the extra money.
However, they may still pay up if other local authorities vote to increase their payments.
