If you're thinking of treating your pets to a little bit of 'festive food', you're being urged to think twice.
ManxSPCA says the British Veterinary Association (BVA) has reported a sharp rise in pet obesity.
The Manx organisation says if your pet is overweight it can lead to joint issues, diabetes and heart and respiratory problems which cause suffering and can also result in substantial vet bills.
In the UK more than 1.7million dog owners and 1million cat owners have been told by vets in the past year their furry friend is overweight.
