The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture is asking people to avoid glens during Storm Chandra.
On Facebook, it says it recommends people stay out of plantations and glens for their own safety.
Ronaldsway Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning overnight, with gusts of up to 65mph expected to blast the Island.
