CWU rep Terry Pullinger told 3FM that there is still the chance that talks could break down, but the last two days of talks had proved successful.
It was confirmed yesterday that the last ditch talks between the Communication Workers Union and the Post Office have managed to avert Tuesday’s strike action.
Although a resolution is yet to be reached the two parties managed to agree on a framework, which they’ve said, will explore ways to resolve the current dispute.
CWU rep Terry Pullinger told 3FM that there is still the chance that talks could break down, but the last two days of talks had proved successful.
He said the talks are yet to secure the desired pay increases, but he’s hopeful a satisfactory outcome can be reached.
These recent developments have been labelled the most positive in over a year by the union rep.
