Douglas Council says it's going to cut down 39 trees on safety grounds.
It says inspections found the trees around Ballanard Field and Baldwin Road posed a risk to nearby homes.
Concerns were raised following storm damage earlier this month, when trees fell onto bungalows during high winds.
Work will start on Monday, February 2 and last for around eight weeks, with replanting to be completed before spring.
