The Office of Fair Trading is moving forward with the development of new legislation which legislates business competition.
A competition policy consultation was sent out to local businesses to gauge their opinion on how the Fair Trading Act 1996 should be modified.
The OFT will now shape the feedback into its next proposals, which will then again go out to the public.
Chief officer Mike Ball says the consultation produced a mixed bag of results:
