The Environment, Food & Agriculture Minister has described climate change as 'a global issue that will affect the whole of the Island in years to come'.
Geoffrey Boot MHK made the comments as he deliverd a statement on climate change mitigation in Tynwald yesterday.
He also announced the launch of a consultation for a new Climate Change Strategy to run from 2020 to 2030 - with officials saying public views on the matter will help the government make 'crucial decisions' on it.
The consultation is open for eight weeks and is available on the government consultation hub.
