MHKs will discuss new legislation to make Douglas an official city this week.
When the House of Keys sits on Tuesday, the City of Douglas Bill 2025 will get its first reading.
The legislation, being introduced by Infrastructure Minister Michelle Haywood, will update 21 laws dating back as far as 1895 which refer to Douglas as a town.
The new law will reflect its city status, officially granted last March by Queen Camilla.
