A local charity aimed at combatting loneliness and isolation has shared the success of its Christmas Stocking Campaign.
The Southern Befrienders scheme was in conjunction with two of the Island's schools, where children filled stockings with small gifts to be given to members.
The charity says they received more than they expected, and will now be able to make lots of their members happy on Christmas morning.
Jonathan Hall, Chair of Southern Befrienders, says it's made them realise just how much the community in the south care, and hopefully they can build on the relationship started with schools.
