Charity to make children aware of brain tumours

Island children will be educated on the onset of brain tumours in an effort to reduce diagnosis time.

Naseem's Brain Tumour Charity has been given the go-ahead from the Department of Education and Children to dish out information to pupils.

Students will be given information packs to equip their parents on the causes and symptoms - which include a persistent headache, vomiting and slow growth.

It's part of a campaign by Headsmart - a UK project aiming to enhance the awareness of symptoms of brain tumours in children and young people.
