Chief Minister brands LegCo reform 'unworkable'

The Chief Minister has branded an MHK's bid to reform the Legislative Council as 'unworkable'.

Peter Karran's reform bill gained a second reading in the House of Keys last week - gaining 15 votes of support, with three against.

Allan Bell accepts there is a desire to see change to the way the LegCo election process is run, but doesn't consider it a burning issue.

He outlined what he considers to be flaws in the proposal:
