An Island resident has been recognised by the UK's Prime Minister.
Theresea May has praised Bill Dale - founder of Beach Buddles Isle of Man - a charity that runs more than 200 beach cleans a year to ensure Manx shorelines are kept spotless.
Bill launched the initiative across the Island in 2007, and it has grown and grown - and now has more than 12,000 registered volunteers - making up around 14 per cent of the Island's population.
Having received the 'Points of Light' award - which recognises outstanding volunteers who are making a change, Bill said it was a 'nice surprise' and believes the Island is now the cleanest in the world.
