Channel Islands role for Island's First Deemster

The Queen has appointed the Island's First Deemster as a Judge of Appeal in Jersey and Guernsey.

It means that David Doyle will sit in the Courts of Appeal in the Channel Islands for up to two weeks per year.

In return the Island's Lieutenant Governor has appointed the bailiffs of both Islands to sit on the Appeal Division of the High Court of Justice on the Isle of Man from time to time.
