Captain Nigel Malpass has been re-elected as the chairman of Ramsey Town Commissioners.
The decision was taken at the annual general meeting at the end of last week and was unanimous.
It was felt that whilst local authorities were entering a period of change the commissioners would benefit from his experience.
Captain Malpass becomes the third chairman to be elected to the post for five consecutive years since 1865.
