Work on improving the retail sector in Castletown will begin imminently.
The Department of Economic Development is funding a consultant to offer support to the area.
It says vibrant town centres are a core element of boosting the economy with the retail sector a major source of employment.
Retail policy has been a contentious issue in Castletown with issues predominantly centered on the Callow’s Yard complex.
