Douglas lifeboat is to get a new home after planners gave the green light to proposals.
The RNLI applied for planning permission last month to convert a former shop on the Tongue into facilities for the lifesaving volunteers.
They'd been using temporary facilities after the former lifeboat station on Battery Pier was deemed unusable.
This week, the planning committee granted permission for the development to go ahead.
