Malew Commissioners is asking the Chief Minister to step in over the ongoing situation with Ballasalla Post Office.
The authority has written to Howard Quayle MHK asking him to suspend the postal service retail strategy and carry out a review into how its being put into place across the Island.
Currently, IOM Post Office is proposing to look for a 'service partner' to help run touch screen facilities at the branch for residents to continue a face-to-face service in the town.
Chair of the organisation, Julie Edge MHK, believes the strategy would continue to offer 'quality access' for customers.
