Ben my Chree will cover while Manxman is repaired, says Steam Packet

The Steam Packet company says the Ben my Chree will be taking over from the Manxman for the time being.

Earlier today, the Manxman suffered what the company called "technical issues" and will need repairs.

Now, the ferry firm says the Ben my Chree will be drafted in to cover her sailings until further notice and extra crossings will be laid on this weekend.

Managing Director Brian Thomson has apologised to those affected, and says engineering teams are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible.
