The Chief Minister has given his reaction to yesterday’s political bombshell that resulted in David Cretney offering his resignation.
It happened after it was revealed the Infrastructure Minister had passed on confidential information to constituents regarding cuts to pre-schools provisions.
This information had not yet been published by government.
Mr Cretney is one of the longest-serving members of government having first been elected as an MHK in 1985.
He was appointed minister of the department in September by Mr Bell following the general election.
