Banks to open later to deal with customer backlog

Isle of Man Bank is to extend the opening hours of a number of their branches in an effort to help customers experiencing problems with their accounts.

The extended opening times have come about following days of disruption due to an issue with the Bank’s system which has led to balances not being updated, despite money going in.

Work has been ongoing to rectify the issues, with a spokesperson saying they are cautiously optimistic things would go back to normal by tomorrow.

Branches in Regent Street, Ramsey, Castletown and Peel and the Natwest Branch in Douglas will stay open until 7 o clock tonight.

In an effort to ensure no one’s credit score is affected the bank will be working closely with credit agencies.
