Commissioners in Arbory have welcomed new plans to calm traffic through Ballabeg.
The local authority met the Department of Infrastructure to discuss the problem, which it says is particularly bad at Friary Park and the Parish Hall.
The DOI says it'll carry out work at the entrance to Friary Park, which should be finished next summer.
The planned safety features will see a crossing point built near the village's Parish Hall, and commissioners say they hope it'll encourage more parents to walk to school with their children.
