Another male has been arrested in relation to an investigation into proxy voting.
Four people were detained by police yesterday following allegations of corrupt or illegal practice within the proxy voting process ahead of the Douglas East by election tomorrow.
They have all since been released on bail.
The 54 year old man arrested this morning is currently being questioned by police as part of the on-going investigation.
Chief Inspector Kevin Wilson said although the investigation is still continuing he does not know if it's likely to affect tomorrows election.
