Alternative solutions for library provision sought

A new working party has been created to look in to alternative options to the current family and mobile library services.

The Chief Minister announced the formation of the new party yesterday; the Education Minister Peter Karran will lead this.

He’ll be joined by the DCCL’s Tim Crookall and Infrastructure’s David Cretney, they’re the men responsible for transport and local authorities.

Allan Bell said that a range of options is being actively pursued so that services can continue to be provided.

The CM added that he hoped the creation of a Council of Ministers working party will assist the department by ensuring support for its work from other relevant areas of Government.
