A new report on the Airport reviews its position within the Department of Infrastructure.
The document will go before Tynwald next month, and suggests the potential of Ronaldsway becoming a statutory board or limited company.
The first two sections of the report outline how the facility currently runs, with the third section setting the scene for future plans and objectives.
One of the main considerations is the need to 'strike balance between the airport's function as a critical lifeline serving the needs of the Island, and making the most of commercial opportunities.'
