22 jobs at Ronaldsway Airport are at risk after government decided to ditch baggage handling services.
The Department of Infrastructure has confirmed it's entered a period of consultation with apron section staff after a review of operations.
It wants handling agents, employed by the airlines, to take over baggage handling, cargo loading and assistance for people with reduced mobility
The change is expected to take place in May or June this year - the department says its working with the affected staff to discuss redeployment or redundancy.
