£50 sewerage charge to be reviewed

The Board of Manx Utilities has committed to reviewing the controversial £50 sewerage charge.

Although the charge will stand for this financial year they say they will work together with Treasury to review the situation for next year.

The review comes following numerous appeals for change from the public.

The charge is applicable to properties connected to a public sewer into which waste water is discharged.
