£30 increase for MERA and Salary Support

The MERA and Salary Support schemes are being increased ahead of the latest circuit-break lockdown.

Treasury Minister, Alf Cannan MHK, announced the move as he provided an update in a virtual sitting of the House of Keys on Covid-19 financial support schemes which are being reactivated from tomorrow.

As a result, the Salary Support Scheme will go up from £280 to £310 per week whilst the MERA will rise from £200 to £230 per week.

MERA applications will open on Thursday (March 4) - Salary Support applications for February are already open and applications for March will start being invited from the end of this month.
