£274,000 sought for Laxey Railway scheme

The Minister for Community, Culture and Leisure will tomorrow seek Tynwald approval for funding for a new sub-station and viaduct scheme for the Laxey Electric Railway Station.

Minister Crookall will outline that the scheme will cost no more than £274,000.

The works would see the original sub-station replaced on account of the equipment reaching its expiry date.

It would mark the second phase of this scheme.

In the budget book the works were made allowances for under the heading 'Committed Schemes'
