2022 TT Update

After a long awaited return, yesterday saw the opening qualifying session of this year's TT Races.

Last night's Results:

Davey Todd topped the Superbike class with a speed of 127.492mph ahead of Dean Harrison and 23-time-winner John McGuinness. 

Peter Hickman posted the third quickest lap of the afternoon at 126.49mph, with Michael Dunlop fastest in the Supersport class and Jamie Coward the pacesetter in the Supertwin division.

Meanwhile, Newcomer Glenn Irwin lapped at 122.616mph for his first session on the Mountain Course and in the sidecars newcomer Harry Payne, with Mark Wilkes in the chair, recorded a 110.364mph lap.


Looking at today:

The Billown Course will close once again for the second race day of the Pre-TT Classic Road Races.

The Southern roads will shut from 9.10am until 12.10pm, before closing again from 1pm until 3.40pm.

Meanwhile, roads around the TT Course will close this evening for the second practice session of TT 2022.

Closures will start from 4.45pm - with the first qualifying session taking place at 6.20pm with the Superbike, Superstock and Supersport riders heading for the course.

Sidecar qualifying will follow at 8.05pm, before roads re-open at 9.30pm.
