The 16th Manx Youth Games were officially launched last night.
The games provide an opportunity for children and young people to take part in new sports.
More than 1,000 children take part each year in 13 different activities - the event is in May but training sessions start this Saturday.
Gianni Epifani is the senior sport development officer - he helps organise the games and says they're an excellent opportunity for young people to become interested in healthy living:
