2 Local Cyclists Join Olympic Programme
Local cyclists Tim Kennaugh and Chris Whorrall look set to join the Island’s ever increasing roster of talent after he was awarded a place on the Great Britain Olympic Academy Programme.
Tim’s brother Peter has attended the programme in the past as well Mark Cavendish and the currently injured Jonny Bellis.
It’s going to be a packed schedule for Tim, with the winter spent in Manchester training at the Vellodrome, and the summer spent in Italy getting used to the European roads.
The
programme endeavors to make world class competitors out of the young cyclists.
