Enterprise Minister Tim Johnston says his department is working on a 10-year strategy to help the struggling retail and hospitality industries.
In the House of Keys, he faced questions from Douglas South MHK Claire Christian about the help the enterprise Department gives to businesses.
He explained there were a variety of promotions to help hospitality such as the recent Manx Menu competition.
But he said he would be working with the industry after a recent meeting in the Manx Museum:
