The world's largest offshore windfarm has opened.
Danish energy firm Orsted confirmed the news yesterday - and say the farm, which consists of 87 turbines is located in the Irish Sea, off the coast of Cumbria.
The Walney Extension spans an area of 145 square kilometres - equal to approximately 20,000 football pitches.
The facility, visible from the Isle of Man off the east coast - has the capability to power 600,000 UK homes.
