Smokers are being encouraged to give up the habit for 28 days this October.
Stoptober is the biggest stop smoking challenge of its kind - the Department of Health and Social Care is backing the annual campaign once again.
Research suggests that by spending 28 days cigarette free people are five times more likely to kick the habit for good.
The department is offering a free 'Quit4You' service which includes a 'quit kit' and support and information on social media and Apps.
Anita Imberger is a health psychologist and tobacco lead - she says that because people are 34 per cent more likely to quit smoking if a co-worker quits they're encouraging work places to be more involved this year:
