£5 Million Needed for First Phase
A major step forward has been taken in getting the Douglas Town Centre regenerated.
Council have stumped up £2 million for the first stage of development, a further £3 million will be needed.
As yet Government haven’t commented on how much they will be contributing to the scheme.
Currently costings are being drawn up for the design stage of the redevelopment.
Councillor David Christian said there is a good chance work will be able to begin in early 2012.
