Women urged to be ovarian cancer aware

Local women have been urged to look out for the warning signs of ovarian cancer.

The Isle of Man Anti-Cancer association and the UK charity, Ovarian Cancer Action are raising the profile of the disease as part of an awareness month.

Symptoms of ovarian cancer include persistant pelvic pain, bloating, difficulty eating and needing to go to the toilet more often.

Yesterday Abi Ajose Adeogun from Ovarian Cancer Action, visited the Isle of Man College’s health fayre to speak to students and members of the public.

She told 3FM it was important that young people were educated about the disease.
