There is uncertainty as to whether staff cuts at Barclays bank will affect Isle of Man workers.
Under what’s been branded as a ‘bold simplification plan’ 16,000 posts will go by 2016, with 7,000 of these coming from the investment division.
It’s thought the investment positions will go in increments of 2,000 over the next couple of years.
Barclay’s press office declined to comment on whether anyone from the Isle of Man will be affected.
