What progress has been made to implement 20mph speed limits in residential areas?
That's the question on the lips of Douglas Central MHK Ann Corlett, who'll pose the question to the Infrastructure Minister in the House of Keys next week.
She'll ask Mr Crookall what progress has been made with plans to put in the speed restriction in residential areas, especially on roads surrounding schools.
In 2019 - the Department of Infrastructure said more 20mph zones would be implemented across the Island.
The DOI stated the restrictions would be in the likes of town centres and residential areas - with design work to be undertaken and a public consultation to follow.
The department also commented it would create a more "pleasant and welcoming environment for people to live and work in, supporting many strategies, including Active Travel.
Mrs Corlett quizzed former Infrastructure Minister Tim Baker on the issue back in 2020 - In response, Mr Baker confirmed it was the department's policy to implement speed limits - and designs had been prepared for Port St Mary, Castletown and Peel.
He said consultation was underway with the local authorities with Douglas, Ramsey and Port Erin due to be assessed over the coming year.
However, it seems there has been no progress since - with Mrs Corlett to ask the same question - more than a year later.
