More 20mph zones will be implemented across the Island in 2020.
That's according to the Department of Infrastructure - which says the speed restrictions will be in place in town centres and residential areas.
The department says it wants to change drivers' behaviour to keep pedestrians and cyclists safe.
However, the DOI insists not all areas of towns will be designated 20mph - but it will aim to include as many residential and community spaces as possible.
Design work will be undertaken this year, and a public consultation to follow.
